Zahid Ali Channar, PhD

Dr Zahid has earned Ph.D in Management Sciences, specializing in Human Resources Management, on HEC Indigenous scholarship from Isra University. He has received training in research from The Miller college of Business, Ball State University, USA. He has 15 years of teaching experience in different Institutions. He has 18 research papers published in HEC recognized journals, on his credit. He has produced 20 MPhils in different domains of Management Sciences. He has served as Dean, faculty of Management & Social sciences, IBT & was Associate Editor of Journal of Business Study, HEC recognized Y category journal.
Aamir Iqbal, PhD

Dr. Aamir Iqbal Umrani has earned his Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, and MBA from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Prior to joining the SMI University, he has served as the Assistant Professor at the Management Sciences department of DHA Suffa University. Similarly, he has worked as a Research Associate at COMASTS University Islamabad and as a Visiting Faculty at Staff College, National Bank of Pakistan. He has received a Bronze Medal in Teaching & Learning Innovation Festival, CETaL-2017 and the best presenter award in ASIA International Conference, 2015, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Dr. Aamir has the experience of working in a diverse organizational environment in Pakistan and Malaysia as well.
Muhammad Adnan Khurshid, PhD

Dr. Muhammad Adnan Khurshid has earned his Ph.D. in Business from International Business School, University Technology Malaysia with best graduate student award. He has served as Lecturer for more than eleven years in the College of Business Administration, King Saud University Riyadh Saudi Arabia. He has also corporate level experience of nine years in different organizations of Pakistan. Dr. Adnan has published thirteen articles in different internationally recognized journals along with working in different research projects. During academic career, he has presented his work in various international conferences in the USA, Spain, Dubai and Malaysia. His area of research includes CSR, Corporate Governance, Stakeholder theory, Total Quality Management and Operations Management.
Asif Hussain Samo, MBA
Assistant Professor
Asif Hussain Samo holds MBA with a specialization in Marketing from SZABIST Karachi and currently perusing Ph.D. in Management Leadership from there. Before joining SMIU, he was serving in international organizations in the development sector. He has 31 research papers published in journals of national and international repute with indexing in Web of Sciences, Scopus, ABDC, and HEC recognition. He has also presented 7 research papers at international research conferences. He has supervised 2 MS theses, 8 independent studies, and research and entrepreneurial projects of around 220 BBA students in the last five years. His research interests are qualitative methodologies, marketing leadership, women leadership, and organizational behavior. He is frequently invited to different seminars/symposiums to speak on research philosophy, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis through SPSS, SmartPLS, and AMOS, social stereotypes in organizations, and women leadership.
Muhammad Naeem Ahmed, MBA

Mr. Muhammad Naeem Ahmed is an experienced academic and professional with over 20 years of experience. He holds a master’s degree from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, and is a recipient of the prestigious Konrad-Adenauer Foundation scholarship from Berlin. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Business Management from IoBM, Karachi. Mr. Ahmed has supervised two MS students and numerous Final Year Projects. Mr. Ahmed is a published researcher with three research papers to his credit. He was awarded the Best Paper Award at the 3rd International Interdisciplinary Conference on Gender, Work, and Society at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 2022. His research has been presented at prestigious international conferences, including the International Alumni Conference on Development Cooperation in Times of Multiple Crises at Ruhr University Bochum in Germany in 2023. He has also participated in academic conferences in France, Spain, and South Africa. He has served on the SMIU Senate, SMIU Syndicate, and as Manager Innovation, Commercialization, and Incubation Center. He has also held the positions of Director of Student Affairs & Counseling and Secretary of the Board of Studies in the Department of Business Administration. His research expertise spans leadership, human resource management, diversity and inclusion, and business ethics. He is well-versed in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, with proficiency in SPSS and SMART-PLS.
Shahid Obaid, MSc

Mr. Obaid done MSc in International Business and Management from University of Bradford, UK. He served as adjunct faculty at Preston University and delivered lectures on analysis of financial statements and portfolio management. Further, He has experience of business analyst in an industry , private sector in Pakistan for three years. His areas of expertise are international business strategies and cross-cultural management
Sehrish Abro, MBA

Ms. Sehrish has completed her MBA, specializing in finance from SZABIST Karachi and is currently enrolled in PhD-Management Science from the same institute. She has experience of teaching at both graduate and post graduate at SZABIST for 3.5 years. She has also served as adjunct faculty at ZABTech Larkana. Her area of interest is Finance, Research and General Management. She has also attended workshop on teaching methodology, Research methodology and communication by British Council.
Faris Mahar, MBA

Mr Faris has done MBA specialized in Marketing from IBA Sukkur. He has one year experience of accounts officer at HASTECH Group Karachi. His area of interest is Brand Management and Digital Marketing. Mr Faris has attended workshop on NGO management held International Institute of NGO Management.

Prior to joining SMIU, he worked for over five years in the Textile Industry in key managerial positions handling export marketing, supply chain planning and policy making. Muzafar Ali Shah, MBA

Mr. Muzafar Ali Shah obtained his MBA from Iqra University specializing in the area of Finance. Before joining SMIU, he had more than seven years’ experience of teaching finance and statistics at different campuses of Iqra University as a visiting faculty member. He is currently enrolled in PhD program and his research interest includes the areas of assets pricing, risk management, and behavioural finance.
