1. Brief Introduction of Program
The objective of the Ph.D. program in Media Studies aims at offering opportunities for scholars to conduct objective based research in media and its related disciplines, with a view to fulfill professional needs in academia and industry.
The program’s main objective is to focus on media products, practices, and ethics and fostering creative thinking among research scholars. The program is divided into comprehensive and thesis based on original research and it will be completed within 3 years of study. Keeping diversity in view, the program invites everyone with disciplinary, interdisciplinary, academic or research background to get admission in the doctorate program.

2. Objectives of the program
The Ph.D. program in Media Studies will be launched from forthcoming semester focusing on an array of specialization in those fields that encompasses intercultural communication, development communication, Media culture, society and technology.

The major aim of the Ph.D. Program in Media Studies is to offer a research career in the field of Media and communication studies to develop an understanding of emerging trends and development in international as well as national media.

The program aims at providing quality education through course work, research and experimental learning for those scholars pursuing a career in Media, Communications management, Journalism and Mass Media.
