Umair Rais Uddin, PhD
Assistant Professor

Dr. Umair, Ph.D in Arabic from University of Karachi, has been associated with teaching continually for the past decade and has considerable experience in interpretation from Arabic to other languages specifically for Academic Institutes. He is also Managing Editor for HEC recognized Bi-Annual Journal Islamic Sciences Karachi. He earned his Hifz-e-Qur’an and Arabic Language Certificate courses from Abu Bakr Islamic University Karachi, and Adeeb Arabic from the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi (BSEK). Besides, he is also Co-author of Arabic textbook published by the National Book Foundation (NBP) for secondary level students in Islamabad in 2014. He has numerous research papers on his credit in more than two languages published in HEC recognized journals. His area of interest belongs to the field of Functional and Qur’anic Arabic, different dialects of Arabic languages and historical Literature. Moreover, he is invited as a public speaker on various academic events and as an external examiner for MS and PhD thesis defense at public sector universities.
Inayatullah Magsi, PhD

Dr. Inayatullah Magsi is a highly accomplished academic professional with a distinguished background in Pakistan Studies. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, where he built a strong academic foundation with nearly fifteen years of experience in teaching at prestigious institutions across Sindh, Dr. Magsi has demonstrated a deep passion for education and a commitment to shaping the minds of future generations.
In terms of research, Dr. Magsi has been actively engaged in various scholarly projects. His research primarily focuses on socioeconomic conditions and issues, making significant contributions to the academic community. He has published more than fifteen research articles in both international and national peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Magsi has also collaborated with renowned experts, including working with Professor Dr. Michel Boivin, a leading French historian and anthropologist specializing in South Asia, on the fourth fieldwork project about Sehwan’s history. This collaboration further enhanced his expertise in the socioeconomic analysis of people and history.
Currently, Dr. Magsi serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Allied Subjects at Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan—an institution that is the alma mater of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam. In this role, he continues to inspire and mentor students. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he holds several important administrative duties, including serving as the coordinator of both the Education and Allied Subjects Departments. He ensures the smooth functioning of the departments and oversees the overall academic process.
Dr. Magsi is also involved in several key academic bodies, including the Senate, Academic Council, Board of Faculty, Board of Studies, and the Departmental Research Committee at SMIU and other universities. His active participation in these bodies reflects his commitment to strategic decision-making and shaping the future direction of his department and institution. Furthermore, Dr. Magsi has served as the Factotum of the Faculty of Management, Business Administration, and Commerce for two years, where he contributed to the smooth functioning of examination tasks in a healthy environment.
