Abdul Hafeez Khan, PhD Professor / Incharge Chairperson / Advisor to Vice Chancellor on Academic Affairs Dr. Khan obtained his PhD degree in Computer Science and MS in Software Engineering from Hamdard University, Karachi. He has been involved in teaching since 2005. He is the author of various research articles in HEC Recognized and impact factor journals and conferences of international repute. His current research interests include Software Engineering, Model Verification and Ontology-Based Software Kamlesh Kumar, PhD Associate Professor Dr. Kamlesh received his PhD in Computer Science and Technology from University of Electronic Science & Technology of China (UESTC) in 2016. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience in various academic institutes. He has 20 research papers to his credit presented in various national/international conferences and published in HEC recognized journals. He has also been honored with the award for Best Academic Research by UESTC in 2015. His research interests include Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, and Content Based Image Retrieval System. Ameen Khowaja, MS/MIT Assistant Professor Mr. Ameen Khowaja obtained his MS degree in Computer Science and IT from Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi. He is a Ph.D. scholar and has over 20+ years of teaching, administration and research experience. He has published 03 research papers in HEC-recognized international journals. Mr Ameen Khowaja has supervised more than 30 undergraduates’ final year projects in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Application development, IoT and Web developments. His research interests include Data Mining, Sentiment Analysis, Machine Learning, IoT, security and surveillance. He has honor to be the founder member of one of the highest bodies of SMIU’S Syndicate, member/secretary tender committee, member technical evaluation committee and focal person of SMIC in coordination with NDMA to represent SMIC in past. He is also trained and certified disaster management in the fields of Search and Rescue, Fire Fighting and First Aid. Irfan Ali Kandhro, MS Assistant Professor Mr. Irfan obtained BS in Computer Science from the University of Sindh in 2011. He is pursuing MS (CS) from Muhammad Ali Jinnah University. He has served for more than two years as Lecturer and Software Engineer. His areas of interest are Programming languages and Database Designing. Muhammad Ameen Chhajro, MS Assistant Professor Mr. Ameen obtained his MS degree in Computer Science and IT from NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi. He is a Ph.D. scholar and has over 7 years of teaching and research experience. He is also associated with the ORIC Department of SMI University as a faculty coordinator. He has published 17 research papers in HEC-recognized international journals. Mr Ameen has supervised more than 20 undergraduates’ final year projects in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Application developments, and Web developments. His research interests include Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Digital Image Processing, and Knowledge Base Systems Basit Hassan, MS Lecturer Mr. Basit Hassan holds a Master of Information Systems from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Iqra University, Karachi. He has more than two years of experience as lecturer and also served as Software Engineer specializing in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems design and implementation. His areas of interest include Software Engineering, Data Modeling and System Engineering. Syeda Wajiha Naim, MS(SE) Lecturer Ms. Wajiha obtained her MS(SE) from PAF-KIET and MCS from University of Karachi. She has almost 2.5 years of working in software industry as Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Technical Writer, where she worked on different projects for the clients from US and UK. She had also served as visiting faculty member in various universities in Karachi. Her fields of interest are Software Engineering, Software Testing & Quality Assurance, Software Requirements Engineering, Software Project Management, Design Patterns, Databases and Programming Languages. Zubair Uddin Shaikh, MS Lecturer Mr. Zubair has obtained his MS in Computer Science (CS) from Hamdard University, Karachi with specialization in Software Engineering and BS(CS) from International Islamic University, Islamabad as an ICT R&D Scholar. He has also served as a faculty member/researcher at FAST-NU and DHA Suffa University in Karachi. His areas of interest include Computer Architecture, Parallel Processing and Artificial Intelligence and has programming prowess in C++, Java and C# with keen interest in Linux based scripting languages. Saima Sipy Nangraj, MS Lecturer Ms. Saima has earned BS and MS in Information Technology with specialization in Software Engineering and Information Systems from Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, receiving Gold Medal in bachelors and 3rd Position in MS. She has 3 years of experience in industry and teaching as Lecturer. Her major areas of interest include but are not limited to Android Development, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing and Programming languages. Muhammad Arshad Arain, M.E Computer Lab Instructor Mr. Arshad obtained M.E (Information Technology) from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro. He has more than three years of teaching experience in SZABIST-JSTC, Hyderabad. His areas of interest are Web Programming, Data Mining, Data Base, and Machine Learning.
