Fall semester 2020: SMIU holds an entry test

The Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) held the computer-based entry test for the fall of 2020 on Saturday and Sunday at its main building and Talpur House. The total number of candidates who applied for admission online was five-time higher than available seats this year, also the highest figure ever recorded. While inspecting the entry test process, Pro. Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon, the vice-chancellor of SMIU, said that a large number of students are keen to get admission in the varsity and this year record number of candidates had applied for admissions which are highest then previous applying ratio. He welcomed the new students and said that the university will open from 15th September by following strict SOPs. “Admissions will be given purely on merit basis at SMIU,” said Dr. Sahrai, adding that SMIU is providing quality education to the youth of Pakistan. The Deans, Registrar, and Controller of Examination were also present along with Vice Chancellor. The entry test was held only for the undergraduate program while for Graduate and Postgraduate program interviews will be held on 15 and 16 September. The interviews of undergraduate students will also be held on 15 & 16 September. The orientation day and classes for successful candidates will commence from September 28th. ​
